Finding the Right Small Trampoline for Kids

The Kids’ Joy Depends On It

It may be expensive and cumbersome, it may even seem like a lot of hard work, but a small trampoline for kids is one of the best investments you will make in their emotional and physical well-being. Toddlers and teenagers may frown upon this initially, but this open-air invention could entice your kids away from violent cartoon network channels and suggestive music stations. Unlike video and online games, the small trampoline will release a healthy dose of endorphins. It’s an i deal gift, whether for birthdays, Christmas or Thanksgiving, in more ways than one.

There’s only one, small disadvantage to installing a small trampoline for your kids in the backyard. Jumping endlessly for joy, they may make one hell of a noise. No matter, there are earplugs. But whoever said that children should be seen and not heard needs to re-evaluate the phrase and think anew whether he has an unhealthy aversion to small kids.

Looking After Kids The Healthy Way

Kids need to be physically active so that they can grow up healthy and strong, ready for the big, wide world out there. Their big brothers and sisters also need physically strong bodies in order to take on all the worldly curve-balls that you have already been privy to. With wise pep talks, you have begun to pave the way for their readiness to take on the world. Did you also know that having a small trampoline in your backyard can also teach your kids useful life skills such as the fine arts of treating your neighbors with respect, kindness and love?

Here’s how. Healthy kids will (or should be able to anyway) make friends easily. Not everyone will be as enterprising with your kids’ health, so your well-cultured and well-mannered children will invite their favorite friends over for a healthy and frenetic bout of wild, raucous trampoline jumping. It will be so much fun, but not everyone will be able to have a go all at once. So, caring and sharing becomes vital in restoring law and order in the yard.

Everyone learns to wait their turn because no kid likes to play home alone.

Parental Guidance

Whether it’s an only child, alone on the trampoline or you have been blessed with more than two toddlers, or if everyone’s been invited over, it is extremely important to remember that no child, particularly those younger than ten, should be allowed to play unsupervised. This important matter of child supervision applies even more during the playful use of the trampoline because of how it is assembled and is held together. Apart from remaining within sight of your children while they are playing, or exercising, teach them one or two basic safety steps. Always make sure that kids jump in the center of the small trampoline and never attempt Olympian feats such as performing somersaults and skipping close to the edge of the trampoline where dangerous springs hold everything together.

One important feature of a well-assembled mini-trampoline is the standard safety net which is easily clipped around the apparatus to ensure the kids’ safety. Even with close supervision accidents will still happen. This net reduces that probability.

Small Trampolines For Kids

The online Trampoline Guide makes an interesting point on min-trampolines. They are small enough to be used indoors out of nature’s way and closer to Mom who may be getting the food ready for supper. Such handy exercise tools are available and do fit perfectly in the center of the living room, but its usefulness is more adult-oriented. While the health benefits are equal to the small trampoline, I cannot imagine a child stomping endlessly in one, tiny space.

The larger trampoline for kids may still be a better choice because apart from the exercise, kids will be exposed to fresh air (most kids aren’t these days). Whether indoors or outdoors, you still need to closely supervise toddlers anyway and should be taking time out for your kids anyway. Thinking of the smallest kids and their safety, I did find a tiny contraption which is ideal for indoor physical activity. Specifically designed for small kids aged between 3 and 8, this Kids Mini Trampoline has a cushioned safety bar and a no-spring bounce system which uses elastic bungees for safer suspension.

Where to Find Them

I’ve already mentioned that most major retailers stock small trampolines for kids. With toddlers and growing kids in mind, most major toy retailers have the smaller mini-trampolines in stock. With health and exercise in mind, all sports retailers should have them. And it is not only the multinational companies that have these facilities; many smaller businesses allow you to arrange for the trampoline to be ordered, paid for and even delivered online.

Some parents take their children’s mental and physical well-being so seriously, not necessarily overburdening them with strict discipline (after all, jumping on trampolines is fun, right?) that they rely only on the pro’s to deliver the goods. The Trampoline Review Guide, explaining all the benefits and features of mini-trampolines, even has a handy, easy to follow exercise guide. Take a look small trampoline for kids on Amazon : Here!!
